Technician R&D

To strengthen our team, we're looking for a creative and driven Technician R&D with a keen interest in PCR and NGS on various platforms.

Full-time / Part-time · Utrecht Science Park, The Netherlands

As a Technician R&D at GenDx, you will help design and carry out experiments to develop and improve our cutting-edge DNA diagnostic products. You will work in a motivated team, using the latest technologies, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and quality. Rather than problems, you see challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new products and procedures for molecular DNA diagnostics

  • Improve existing products, protocols, and procedures

  • Analyze and interpret experimental results

  • Organize and maintain the laboratory

  • Work according to ISO 13485 standards

Requirements

  • Education: HBO or WO degree in Life Sciences or a related field.

  • Work experience: 0-3 years. >1 year in a commercial setting is a plus.

  • Technical skills:

    • Experience with PCR

    • Experience with oligonucleotides is a plus

    • Experience with NGS (Illumina and/or ONT) is a plus

    • Experience with liquid handling robots is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Hands-on, independent attitude, while being a real team-player

  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

  • You currently live near Utrecht Science Park or are willing to relocate within a reasonable commut-ing distance of the office.

  • Please note that you must be legally eligible to live and work in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor work permits for this role.
